Reiki is of Japanese origin and literally "Rei" means universal and "Ki" means life force or energy that flows through every living being. For me it is the loving life light energy that connects us all. It is as defined by the Oxford English dictionary is: “A healing technique based on the principle that the therapist can channel energy into the patient by means of touch, to activate the natural healing processes of the patient's body and restore physical and emotional well-being.”
Confidence to me is the inner strength to be and stand for what you believe in.
It's the drive from inside yourself, your inner voice, unconscious mind, intuition that supports you to know that you can achieve something.
The belief that you Can do, be or have it.
Complete confidence in yourself is to know that you Can absolutely, totally and utterly achieve anything that you want to.
The reality is that you already have all the inner resources you need to be truly confident. And all you need now is to connect with them.
It is defined by the Oxford English dictionary as "a technique that people use to help themselves or others think in a more positive way, and which uses neurolinguistics as its basis."
NLP enables us to change old behaviour patterns, release old negative emotions, limiting beliefs and decisions easily and effortlessly. We are able to uplevel our communication skills fast and use it to create, plan and achieve our lives goals, visions and mission efficiently and effectively with perfect alignment.
For me it is a wonderful tool and set of techniques to support a positive connection with our unconscious mind. To harness the power that we each have to choose how we behave, feel and connect with both ourselves and those around us in any given moment.
Wonderful results can be found using it face to face or distantly and I find that it complements perfectly with Reiki, hypnotherapy, coaching and leadership mentoring.
As per the Oxford English Dictionary self-care is "the practice of activities that are necessary to sustain life and health, normally initiated and carried out by the individual for him- or herself."
For me self care is taking care of yourself emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually.
Providing for each of your basic needs as a human being, sustenance (food, air and water), shelter and sleep. I would also add here that I believe rest of many different levels is essential for our well being not just sleep and that hope, love and direction are too essential for a healthy balanced life.
The most important lesson for me around self care is that to love and support anyone else you get to love and support yourself first. As the saying goes you can't pour from an empty cup. So to be the best version of ourselves and give our best support and service to others we get to first give that best support and service to ourselves. Therein lies the truth that self care is absolutely not selfish. At it's very essence it is self love.
